Christmas in July!, 07/27/2008

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate Christmas in July with us! We had a lot of fun! We also especially would like to thank Santa Claus who interrupted his summer vacation (don't worry - the elves continued working) to be here to scoop peppermint stick custard and draw names for our drawing. I guess Santa's work is never done either!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our drawing! We'd also like to thank everyone who donated money to Rebuilding Together (formerly known as Christmas in April). We raised $172.45, which the Dairy Godmother will match dollar for dollar and penny for penny. That means we donated a total of $344.90 to Rebuilding Together so they can continue their great work.

Don't forget to sneak in on Tuesday nights after 6pm just because you can! We are also open Sunday nights until 10pm but these extended hours are for the rest of August only! August 5th's Liz's Whim is Candied Ginger!

Liz: It was nice meeting you last Wednesday and partaking of your wonderful custards and sorbets. I think I mentioned that I maintain a blog about Washington, D.C., and its surrounding cities and neighborhoods. Today, I posted a couple of pictures of you and your store on my blog. Thought you'd like to know.
