Make Your Day Matter, 02/17/2008

How will you spend your Leap Day?
These days, time always seems short. Lots to do, less time available to do it. But this year, we have the gift of an extra day on Friday, February 29th. How will you spend your Leap Day to make it matter? This day only comes around once every 4 years. Make it count!

The Dairy Godmother is encouraging everyone to take leap on Leap Day. What is a leap, you ask? Well, a leap is something you will do on Leap Day to make that day (and maybe some others) matter. Leaps have a starting launch and an ending land. They can be large or small, made up of one big leap or many little leaps. Leaps can go different directions. They can also change course mid-leap. Leaps can happen anywhere - at home, at work, in your neighborhood, or on an even greater scale. Take a leap and pass it on.

Here are some suggested Leaps. Feel free to share others!

Call a friend you haven’t talked to in a while. Better yet, pay your friend a visit!
Look up when you walk the dog
Give your seat on the metro to someone who needs it
Start reading that book you got for Christmas
Make the person standing or sitting in front of you more important than that cell phone call
Hold the door open for the person behind you
