Thanks be to J.K. Rowling, 07/22/2007

We had a magnificent time this weekend. Thanks to all who dared the Dementor's Kiss. We gave away dozens of lighting bolt cookies to the witches and wizards who were out that night and we were also able to premier the popsicles which you will see more of.

My customers, generous always, gave and gave to The Family Literacy Program (famlit.org). Customers donated $418.00 which we matched for a total of $836.00! Congratulations everyone!

My personal thanks for honoring the spoiler ban.Because I have been at the shop alot,I won't be able to finish "Hallows" until Wednesday but my employees and I really appreciated the time.

We are now hiring part time workers who can start now or soon and work a few days or evenings into the winter. We stay pretty busy. Please email us AND tell others who mihgt be interested in working here.

Lastly......

It has been pretty busy lately. Washingtonian Magazine did a really fun profile this month and then Southern Living did an article that just came out.
Welcome to all the new folks! To the old stalwarts I say"Come during the day if you can and don't forget, the line moves fast!"

Could you please post August's flavor calendar? I can't wait to see what's next!

I too read the article and was so excited to find that a taste from Milwaukee was a city away (I had no idea!) Thanks Liz! It was great to get a hometown treat and share the joy of frozen custard with my non-midwestern family. Kopps and Culvers have nothing on you... :-) And when I spotted the Sprecher - well, I was home again...

I'm a new fan! I read about you in the Washintonian Magazine and my family and I visited for the first time for the very refreshing Lemon Blueberry custard! Now we're hooked and plan to make the trek from Bethesda to sample your other flavors. Thanks!
