Dementor's Kiss, 06/10/2007

patronus.gifAre you wizard enough to survive Dementor's Kiss?

On Friday and Saturday the 20th and 21st we will be celebrating the honor of being allowed to enter Harry Potter's world.

Dementor's Kiss will make it's final appearance-a haunting dark blue frozen custard sprinkled with wizardly moons and stars. There will be pumpkin juice ice lollies and lightning bolt cookies reminiscent of Harry's scar. Those attending in costume will get a free lightning bolt cookie.

How much did you enjoy J.K. Rowlings books? Help others enjoy them, too. Throw your spare change into the cauldron by the register and we will match the amount and send it to The National Center for Family Literacy. (www.famlit.org)

Sit a spell and enjoy a jukebox in which all the songs have the word magic in the title.

In order to ease the way to the midnight hour ,we will be be open until the unheard of hour of 11pm on Friday only. Then we will all be on our way to procure our own copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Note well,The Dairy Godmother will be a spoiler free zone on the Saturday and Sunday following. Any discussion of the contents of the 7th book within the shop will be cause for banishment. We aren't kidding.

Counting the minutes......................

Hi Liz and everyone--this is so great what you're doing... Not only is the Dementor's Kiss diabolically delicious (me and my crowd are still in trance from its last emergence) but contributing to literacy--and keeping the Zone Free --is the character we've come to know and love w/The Godmother! Cheers--see you tomorrow!
