Swinging into Summer, 05/30/2007

SwingC_logo.jpg

We have all kinds of customers that come here to the Dairy Godmother. One of them is George Carroll, a musician, who performs with a Big Band called Swing Command.

Swing Command normally rehearses on Saturday mornings but instead of their normal rehearsal on June 2nd, they’ve offered to perform right here at the Dairy Godmother!

Swing Command will play classic music from dance bands from the 1930s and 40s (think Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Tito Puente and others).

In honor of their performance, we will open one hour early (11 am) and have cinnamon buns in addition to our normal custard, sorbets and other nostalgic treats.

They’ll be taking requests so put on your dancing shoes and swing on by!
