Autumn Upon Us
Good news, everyone!
The lovely days of Autumn are upon us, bringing the break from Summer’s doldrums for which we’ve been so longing. Step on down to The Dairy Godmother for some Wisconsin-style Frozen Custard, a delicious treat for any occasion. We have Vanilla and Chocolate flavours every day, as well as an extra-fancy Fall-ish Flavour of the Day! You can find a calendar of upcoming flavors here. We also keep an assortment of fresh and fruity homemade Sorbets on hand and we’re inventing new and exotic Ice Pops all the time. We encourage you to try all the Pops with our Buy 9 Get 1 Free deal!
We have Puzzles and Tee Shirts! Featuring images from the Dairy Godmother, Del Ray, and Alexandria, our puzzles are sure to delight. They come in 99, 360, and 1000 piece varieties, and some come with bonus Ice Pop vouchers! If you like to represent your favourite custard shop when you’re abroad we have a range of sizes for our Men’s and Ladies’ Tee shirts. We even have Bibs so wee babies can safely enjoy our many Nostalgic Treats with confidence!
As the heat breaks we are looking forward to the Autumn season when the farmers bring apples, pears, quinces, and concord grapes to our suburban hamlet. The special baked Treats of the Day, fancy cookies, and delicious pops will make your hearts sing! I’m so ready for some Apple Crisp, complete with a scoop of Vanilla…
Speaking of farmers, there are a few harvest-time festivals we’re getting geared up for:
First up is Columbus Day, on October 13th, for which we will be open our standard Monday hours: noon-9pm.
Next is the Del Ray Halloween Parade; a big-time local event with mini-floats, prizes, and fun for all ages. The parade is from 2pm-4pm on Sunday the 26th this year, though folks will be gathering and lingering a while on both ends!
Looking WAAAY out ahead, Thanksgiving is on the horizon. We’ll be offering all sorts of season-appropriate goodies like custard pies, marshmallows, and pilgrim cakes again this year. Keep an eye out for flyers and get those orders in early!
